$136K - $172K a year In anticipation of favorable award ASRC Federal is seeking a Security Operations Manager to join our team in Fairmount, WV.
ASRC Federal will support The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) mission to acquire an integrated approach to support operations for NOAA Cyber Security Center (NCSC) and Department of Commerce's (DOC) Enterprise Security Operations Center (ESOC).
The NCSC and ESOC will provide integration across NOAA and its partners; DOC and its bureaus into the cybersecurity posture of its information systems of significant on-going cyber threats, events, and incidents, allowing management to make priority-based resourcing decisions.
The focus of the NCSC and ESOC is to integrate, correlate, and enrich disparate information sources to provide actionable intelligence and advance information systems to a strong cyber security posture.
Key Role:
Manage the operations and performance of an enterprise-wide SOC.
Leverage expertise to ensure the enterprise cybersecurity strategy is reviewed, updated, and adopted by all stakeholders Manage tasks, and direct resources to operate and maintain the NOAA SOC Ensure enterprise information security standards are followed Coordinate tasks to address potential, suspected, and confirmed IT security incidents and which countermeasures need to be deployed to defend, contain, and recover from an incident Provide technical leadership to SOC analysts in executing on cybersecurity strategy and NOAA incident response plan Orchestrate the SOC response to major security threats Provide technical expertise evaluating threats and vulnerabilities Prepare cybersecurity reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends and provide ongoing reports Maintain incident response procedures by ensuring compliance to standards and policies; developing and conducting training programs Required
Qualifications:
BS degree in computer science, IT, systems engineering, or a related field of study Active TS clearance 15 +years' experience managing large SOC environments Possess one or more of the following technical certifications:
DoD 8140; SANS DoD 8140 Cert Track; CompTIA DoD 8140 Cert Track; CEH Master Cert Track; ISACA's Cybersecurity Nexus (CSX); Global Information Assurance certification (GIAC) credential track Strong knowledge in cloud security, experience in resolving and mitigating vulnerabilities, designing security functions, and providing evidence-based reasoning to substantiate claims for trustworthy and secure work products Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
